Descrição: To determine the velocity of a bullet fired from a .22 caliber rifle. The demonstration allows measurements to be made for a perfectly inelastic collision which takes place when a bullet is fired into a wooden block resting on a frictionless air track. The bullet’s velocity can then be determined by applying the principle of conservation of momentum.
